Notice of Holidays

Dear Colleagues:

We are writing to inform you that due to National Day Holidays (October 10 - October 13, 2019), the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office will be closed during the said periods. All deadlines falling during the periods will be automatically extended to October 14 (Mon.). However, kindly note that October 5 (Sat.) will be a working day in Taiwan in view of the long holidays. Any deadlines for Taiwan applications falling on October 5 will NOT be postponed.

The State Intellectual Property Office (CNIPA) and the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of P.R. China will be closed during October 1^st to 7^th, 2019 due to China National Day Holidays. All deadlines falling during this period will be automatically extended to October 8, 2019 (Mon.), the first working day following the extended holidays.

Nevertheless, September 28 (Sat.) & October 12 (Sat.) will be working days in China. Any deadlines for Chinese TRADEMARK applications falling on September 28 & October 12 will NOT be postponed. But deadlines for Chinese patent applications falling on the said dates (September 28 & October 12) remain to be September 30 (Mon.) & October 8 (Tue.), 2019, respectively.

Therefore, we would appreciate if all urgent cases and instructions are received no later than October 2, 2019.
