TSAI LEE & CHEN honorably participated the “Asia-Oceania Intellectual Property Attorneys Conference” held by Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA) on June 29, 2012. The conference was in celebration of the “Japanese Patent Attorneys Day.”

Mr. George J. H. Huang, patent attorney and attorney at law, was invited on belaf of the firm to give a speech entitled “The development of patent system in Taiwan -- the legislative change in IP and patent attorney’s system.”

In addition to Mr. Huang, the panel included speakers from Australia, Singapore, Korea, and other 3 countries. More than 200 Japanese patent attorneys attended the conference.

The Japanese “Patent Attorneys Day” is in memory of the enactment of the first registration stipulation for Japanese patent attorneys dated July 1, 1899.

Following the seminar, JPAA hosted a evening reception , and invited Commissioner Iwai of the JPO and Chief Judge Iimura of the IP High Court to speak at the event.
