We are writing to inform you that this year we will be celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival from June 25-28, 2020. The Taiwan Intellectual Property Office will be closed during the said period. All deadlines falling during the period will be automatically extended to June 29 (Mon.), 2020. However, kindly note that June 20 (Sat.) will be a working day in Taiwan to accommodate the long holidays. Any deadline for Taiwan applications falling on June 20 will NOT be postponed.
The China National Intellectual Property Administration, PRC (CNIPA) will be also temporarily closed from June 25-27, 2020. All deadlines falling during the period will be automatically extended to June 28 (Sun.), 2020, the first working day after the long holidays. Accordingly, June 28 (Sun.) will be a working day in China. The trademark-related deadlines fall on June 28 can NOT be extended, though the patent-related deadlines can.
The Hong Kong Patent Department will be temporarily closed on June 25, 2020. All deadlines falling during the day will be automatically extended to June 26 (Fri.), 2020.
Our office is closed from June 25-28, 2020, and we will also resume normal business operation on June 29 (Mon.), 2020. Therefore, we would appreciate if all urgent cases and instructions are received no later than June 17, 2020.
