Amendment to Copyright Act: Provisions on the Impaired's Reproduction of Works Promulgated
The amended Copyright Act has been promulgated on January 22, 2014, adding the provision of permission to the impaired's reproduction of works. Central or local government agencies, non-profit institutions or organizations, and all levels of schools or educational institutions established in accordance with law may produce accessible format copies of works that have been publicly released for the visually or hearing impaired. In addition, the visually disabled or hearing impaired or their guardians may also produce accessible format copies of works for their own private and non-profit uses.
