Delegation of TWPAA Visited JPAA and KPAA

From May 11th to 15th, 2010, led by the TWPAA President, Thomas Q.T. Tsai, the TWPAA delegation visited a number of Japanese and Korean professional patent societies, including AIPPI Korea, KPAA, JIII, JPAA, FICPI Japan, AIPPI Japan, JIPA, and APAA Japan. The TWPAA delegation was warmly welcomed by these local professional societies and the past interactions between the TWPAA and the respective associations/organizations have been remarkable since the establishment of the TWPAA in December 2009.

The TWPAA delegation was comprised of the President, the Chair and Vice Chair of the International Affairs Committee, the Chair and Vice Chair of the Right-Asserting Committee, the Chair of the Editorial Committee, Councilors and Supervisors, as well as other TWPAA members. It was the first delegation to travel overseas to introduce the TWPAA, its activities, and future development plans to international professional societies. It was also the first opportunity TWPAA members had to hear about the operation of patent associations/organizations in other jurisdictions. The exchange of ideas was especially meaningful for future interactions between the TWPAA and the Japanese/Korean profession patent associations/organizations.
