Internet and High-Tech Company May Apply for IPO in the Secondary Type Stock Market

To encourage the IPO of Internet and high-tech company, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) aggressively examines the regulations and guidelines governing the IPO and OTC in the “Secondary Type Stock Market.” According to the MOF’s present idea, a high-tech company may apply for IPO with only NT$30,000,000 paid-in capital.

To facilitate the above policy, the Bureau of Industry of the Ministry of Economic planed to announce relevant guidelines to assist the Internet and high-tech company to achieve the conditions of IPO in the Secondary Type Stock Market. As far, the Bureau has declared the four categories of high-tech company in the application of IPO:

The Internet service provider which provides the Internet connection service.

The Internet Application Provider which provides special online service for business.

The Internet Content Provider which provides the multimedia content via the Internet.

The Application Service Provider which provides the Internet user to download computer application program.

It is predicated that, in the second season of this year, the Ministry of Finance will start to review the application of IPO in the Secondary Type Stock Market.
