Several Taiwanese Organizations Entered the List of Top 300 U.S. Patent Owners in 1999

Intellectual Property Owners Association has recently published Top 300 Organizations Receiving U.S. Patents in 1999. Eight Taiwanese organizations are included as follows:

Since 1996, Taiwan has been ranked fourth among more than two hundred countries, which have been applying patents with the USPTO, ranked only after the U.S., Japan and Germany. In other words, there are around 10,000 patent applications from Taiwan in the USPTO each year. In view of the amount, Taiwan is already in embryo of becoming a powerful R&D country.
