Policy for Accepting of Priority Document in Electronic Format

In response to the issuance of priority documents in electronic format by the US
Patent Trademark Office (USPTO), the TIPO has announced that the TIPO will adopt the following procedures in accepting the priority document in electronic format:

1. For priority documents in electronic format that are contained in CD-ROM, a
printout of the priority document contained in the CD-ROM should be submitted
along with the CD-ROM;

2. For priority documents in electronic format that are contained in recording media
other than CD-ROM, the applicant should distinctly point out that the priority
document in electronic format is indeed issued by the USPTO, and a printout of
the priority document contained in the recording medium should be submitted
along with the storage medium.
