TIPS® Taiwan Intellectual Property Special
Establishment of Taiwan Intellectual Property Training Academy
In view of the significant investment, increasing emphasis that industries placed in obtaining protection for their intellectual property, and the needs to train professionals in the fields of IP Prosecution, IP Management as well as IP Litigation Strategies, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO), MOEA proposed an incubation and training program following the footsteps of European Patent Academy (EPA) of European Patent Office and International Intellectual Property Institute (IIPI). In early March 2006, the training for the recognized trainers/lecturers is completed by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Training Academy (TIPA), an organization under the Graduate Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Studies, College of Law, National Taiwan University to execute under the supervision of the TIPO.
The Academy expects the systematic training program to improve the overall quality of the professional practitioners in the field of patent and trademarks and the IP knowledge of judicial officers, and to ultimately establish an environment for optimum protection of IP rights.
